Hangar 44

Fly private to the places people are already going. At business-class prices.

The problem we solve

Private aviation has been binary forever. Either you charter the whole plane — overkill and wasteful unless you’re filling 6–8 seats yourself — or you fly commercial and lose half a day to TSA, layovers, and missed dinners. The “dead leg” option is a joke: you go where the plane needs to go, not where you need to go. There has been no real middle path that gives a private experience at near-premium-commercial economics.

Why we’re different

Every other private aviation company is asset-first or route-first. Hangar 44 is demand-first. We aggregate the people first, then source the aircraft.

Ben Guardener

Ben Guardener

Director of Aviation

Ben leads aviation operations and operator partnerships at Hangar 44, ensuring every flight is matched with the right aircraft, the right crew, and the right standards.

A Marine Corps aviator with twenty years of service, Ben flew the AH-1 attack helicopter and served as a Weapons and Tactics Instructor — one of the most demanding qualifications in military aviation. As Operations Officer of his last command, he directed training, readiness, and international partnerships for a 5,000+ member organization across more than 100 annual exercises and ten partner nations.

A graduate of Bates College and a member of Sleepy Hollow Country Club, Ben brings to Hangar 44 the precision and quiet competence of military aviation — translated into a private network context where every flight is one members trust will be done correctly, every time.
